Corrections
clear accountability • public updates • factual fixes
WTFTO is built on accountability. We know we are not perfect, and when we get something wrong, we fix it. This page explains how we handle corrections so readers can trust what we publish.
How corrections work
If we publish incorrect or misleading information, we issue a correction as quickly and transparently as possible. Every correction is dated, explains what changed, and includes the accurate information.
When we update a story
- New facts emerge that change the accuracy of the original reporting.
- We discover an error in names, dates, locations, quotes, or data.
- A source or document we relied on is later shown to be inaccurate.
- Context is needed to correct ambiguity or incomplete information.
Our commitment
We do not hide mistakes. We correct them prominently and give credit where it is due. Our goal is simple: earn your trust every day by being honest, fast, and transparent.
